The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (1991) However, during the in-game intro his name is spelled “Gannon,” leading to decades of confusion. In the instruction booklet for The Legend of Zelda, Ganon’s name was spelled with a single n. Ganon holds Princess Zelda hostage in his lair at Death Mountain, and the only weapon that will destroy him is a silver arrow. He appears as a giant topaz pig monster who wields a trident.
